Personal Care

We work very hard at DaySpring to help each resident develop a routine that they feel comfortable with. For those who are more socially active, their routine may be to have no routine at all. For others, especially those suffering with a memory impairment, it is usually a strict, personal routine that helps them to stay within their comfort zone.

It takes watching, listening, understanding and time. When a resident moves in, we watch to see what they do…and avoid doing. Our Nurse and Life Enrichment Coordinator meet frequently with each new resident to talk about their life and their feelings. This relationship allows us to adjust to our residents and help them create a personal routine they are very comfortable with.

Medication Administration

Our Medication Administration Program is designed to dispense medicines as ordered by the doctors, and to monitor our residents for positive and negative reactions. The program builds in communication and coordination between all the parties involved in this process - residents, family members, doctors, pharmacists and our staff.

Keeping Active is Important

We adjust activities to fit our residents. Some exercises are done while seated in a chair. When a person doesn't participate, we still involve them socially as they watch.

Nutritional Services

Our culinary team work hard to create exceptional meals that are tradional favorites as well as preparing house specialties that all residents thoroughly enjoy.  The nutritional menu has been designed to encourage healthy lifestyle and enjoyment!
